The Man Behind the Books

About Coach DeForest

Almost 20 years of basketball. A state championship. A lifetime of lessons — all distilled into books you can hold in your hands.

Coach Lee DeForest

From the Court to the Page

Lee DeForest, a basketball coach for almost 20 years, learned to love the game after spending time in the gym with his father and learned to love writing after graduating from law school.

Growing up in a small town in Kentucky with big dreams, he went on to become most noted for his variation of the Princeton Offense, winning a state title in 2011. His books on the Princeton Basketball Offense have helped him make friends all over the world.

Honorably discharged from the U.S. Army Reserve in 2014, Coach DeForest currently resides in Texas with his wife and parrot. He continues to write and share his coaching knowledge with the next generation of basketball minds.

What I Believe

Follow Your Dreams

I grew up in a small town with big dreams and encourage you to follow your own. Every journey starts with believing you can do it.

Learn from Others

You can learn from the adversity and success in the stories of other people. We can all learn from one another to live a more successful life.

Share Your Knowledge

I want to spend more time writing and sharing what I've learned — from coaching, from the athletes I've followed, and from the game itself.

"I hope that I can be a small part of your journey."
— Coach DeForest
